Are you buying a vehicle insured with Allianz?
In such a case, the previous owner should pass the civil liability policy onto you. Upon purchase of the vehicle, you take over all rights and obligations resulting from the concluded third-party liability insurance contract. You can continue to be covered by third-party liability insurance until the end of the term of cover or you can cancel the insurance.
If the third-party liability insurance premium has not been paid, the obligation to pay it from the date of purchase of the vehicle is passed onto you.
The third-party liability insurance contract is terminated at the end of the period for which it was concluded, unless you terminate it earlier.
If the purchased vehicle also had comprehensive insurance, it was terminated on the date of transfer of ownership. You can take out comprehensive insurance with Allianz by phone, online or from an agent.
The legal basis arises from art. 31 sec. 1 and 32 sec. 1 and 4 of the Act on Compulsory Insurance, the Insurance Guarantee Fund and the Polish Motor Insurers' Bureau.
