Accident insurance  – how to manage your insurance policy

You have insurance and have been notified of an overpayment or underpayment.

What should you do?

Individual insurance

You have individual accident insurance and you have paid the wrong amount of premium. You have just received a letter from Allianz with information about overpaid or underpaid contributions.

Call 224 224 224 to clarify any inconsistencies.

Group insurance (except for informal groups)
If the premium due in a given period has not been paid by the 10th day of the first month of the period for which it is due (grace period), TUiR Allianz Polska S.A. suspends liability from the first day of that period. Liability is suspended until it is resumed, but for no longer than 3 months.

Professional group insurance
If the premium due in a given period has not been paid within 10 days from the beginning of the first month of the period for which it is due (grace period), TUiR Allianz Polska S.A. suspends liability from the first day of that period. Liability is suspended until it is resumed, but for no longer than 3 months. Resumption takes place on the day of liability suspension after the Policyholder has paid the amount due for the period from the day of liability suspension to the day of payment and the premium for the next period in the amount specified in the insurance contract. TUiR Allianz Polska S.A. is liable for events occurring during the suspension of liability, provided that the Policyholder pays the overdue instalment and the next instalment.
The premium is considered unpaid if the amount of the premium or its instalment transferred to the account of TUiR Allianz Polska S.A. is lower than specified in the insurance agreement.

Individual insurance, family insurance, informal groups and short-term group insurance
The Agreement is deemed terminated by TUiR Allianz Polska S.A. if the premium instalment has not been paid within the additional period specified in the call for payment sent after the premium payment deadline, with the effect that the Agreement expires on the last day for which the last premium instalment was paid.

 

  • Would you like to cancel your insurance during its term?

You may terminate the insurance agreement in writing by giving one month's notice counting from the last day of the month in which Allianz was notified of the termination. 

The insurance contract is terminated on the last day of the month of insurance coverage. Termination of the insurance contract does not release you from the obligation to pay premiums for the period of notice. At the same time, you are entitled to a refund of the premium for unused period of protection or the premium paid after termination of the contract.

 

  • Do you want to withdraw from your insurance contract?

You may do so before the beginning of the insurance period if the contract was concluded for less than six months. If the contract was concluded for a period longer than six months, you have the right to withdraw from the insurance contract within 30 days, and if, as the policyholder, you are an entrepreneur - within seven days from the date of conclusion of the contract.

How can you do that?

Send us:

  • a letter of withdrawal or termination of the insurance agreement containing your handwritten signature and the number of the policy concerned as well as the number of the account to which the overpaid premium for the unused insurance period should be transferred.
During the term of the policy, i.e. after the conclusion of the agreement, new persons have joined group accident insurance or previous participants have withdrawn from the policy.

How can you do that?

In case of policies with named insured parties

- prepare and send, at the latest on the last day of the month of the insurance cover in which the number of insured persons changed, the following documents:

  • list of persons to participate in insurance in the next month of insurance coverage (Personal Status Report),
  • list of persons to participate in insurance towards whom the liability of Allianz expires in the following month (Personal Status Report).

In case of policies with unnamed insured parties

- at the end of each month's insurance cover you need to indicate the exact number of persons to whom Allianz provided insurance cover during that period, broken down by the nature of the work performed.
